                                                            the interview

What do you love about working for yourself?

I love setting huge goals and breaking them down into smaller steps and watching this huge dream slowly become real. It's awesome.

What's the hardest thing about being an entrepreneur?

I find that keeping the dream intact in the face of opposition, competition and lack of tangible progress is the hardest part of running a venture. Social entrepreneurship is even harder because you are trying to run a project that is financially sustainable and also change the world at the same time so the pressure is double which means you have to be super passionate and sort of obsessed about your goal.

What do you wish you knew before you started you business?

I wish i knew how important telling the story about your progress is. PR and talking to the media is so important because if no one knows you are doing this work, why will they care?

Why do you do what you do? Where did the idea come from?

I run a small project that works to harness the power of young people to save lives by encouraging blood donations. I do this because blood means life and if and when hospitals don't have blood, then people die. I just think is unacceptable and i am glad many people believe the same thing. We have collected 1651 pints of blood so far and we are set to do even more.

How different is what you do now from what you wanted to do as a child?

I wanted to run something (anything) when i was a child and i am doing just that. I just wanted to be in charge and do things that matter and i am also lucky to be doing just that.

How long have you been working out of CapitalSquare? What has the experience been like? Would you recommend it?

I have been working at CapitalSquare for 4 months and i have recommended it to tons of people. I love CapitalSquare.

If you could share a desk with any two people in the world, who would they be? Why?

Elon Musk. Because i want to tap his creativity and rebelliousness. By rebelliousness i mean that he refuses to take the world as it is and he is actively working to change our world. It's incredible.

Beyonce. Because she is awesome and has an amazing work ethic. Runs a record label, manages her huge career, tours the world and she is raising a little girl.

If you could be any animal, what would you be?

A lioness.

And that's it!
