Women In Tech: $15,000 grant for female Nigerian techies in the Tech Women-Go-Entrepreneurial program
The Tech Women-Go-Entrepreneurial 2016 is a training program for women in technology interested in solving societal issues. Funded by the US Consulate, the program aims to discover great ideas from Nigerian female techies that will create positive impact in the society.

Nigerian. Female. Age 16 – 45.
Must have a business idea delivered through technology.
Must be Tech Savvy.
Ability to code and develop software is an added advantage.
The program is looking for ideas in the following categories:
Media and Entertainment, Tourism, Business, Transport, Education, Employment, Health, Food, Politics, Governance, Religion and Agriculture.
The program is split into four stages:
Stage 1 :Training
A 2-day Entrepreneurial Training for screened contestants
Stage 2 : Idea Submission
200 selected contestants will submit their innovative ideas
Stage 3 :The Bootcamp
40 women with the best ideas will be paired into 20 Teams
Stage 4 : The Pitch competition and Award ceremony
Only 10 teams will make it to the award ceremony, where they will be given the opportunity to pitch to the Tech Women Academy Panelists, the Jury and the Audience.
The panelists include Adia Sowho (Etisalat), Valentine Obi (eTranzact), Nneka Okekearu (Enterprise Development Centre), Daniel Oparison (Paga), Kingsley Eze (Tenece) and Bayo Rotimi (Quest Advisory).
